Hans Rosling & Trendalyzer at TED

Here is another fantastic presentation from TED. Dr. Hans Rosling takes us on a wild ride through – development statistics. TED is guaranteeing that you would have never seen data presented like this before. And I wholeheartedly agree. It even has a riveting finale. And, I am not kidding!

Watch the entire 19.09 minutes of the presentation to see for yourself.

In this presentation, Dr. Rosling demonstrates the next version of the Trendalyzer application. This is the app behind Gapminder, the site that lets you pull out different global data points to compare or contrast them in a wonderfully intuitive way. Data visualization becomes an art in this tool. It creates beautiful images with data and becomes a storytelling tool in the process (a picture is worth thousand words and all that).

And, like every other great online application these days, Trendalyzer has since been acquired by Google.
